Banisteriopsis caapi is a tropical vine which contains harmine and other harmala alkaloids in its stems. It has a long history of use in South American ayahuasca brews.
The Brazilian name for this strain is Ourinhos. The name is attributed to the golden colouration of the final brew made with it.(The English translation for Ourinhos is "little gold").
This is a very powerful strain used in the official ceremonies of the Santo Daime, Uniao do Vegetal and Barquinha churches in Brazil.
